A Woman After God’s Own Heart

Welcome to my faith blog. Thanks for stopping by. My name is Nakuna. I speak from my heart and I would like to share with the world my love for Jesus and how He saved my life and changed me forever. I pray that my faith journey can help inspire others that are going through a lamenting season, pruning season, waiting, winter or wilderness season.

The Bible tells us it is impossible to please God without faith. My faith didn’t originate from me, it is a gift from God. My faith has grown because of all what it is has endured in this world full of evil. It had to be put through the fiery furnace to be purified just as gold is. My faith has been exercised to the core during the deepest valley of my life; leaving my ungodly marriage. It has blossomed into a beautiful lily. I still struggle with some unbelief but that usually doesn’t last long and it pales in comparison with my deep, restful assurance that all God’s promises are true and will come to pass in my life.

My faith rests in the fact that the Creator of the universe has me in His loving arms and orders my steps and is always working everything out for my good. It is built on His constant merciful pursuit of my heart. My faith is ultimately built on the firm foundation that is Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, my everything, the lover of my soul and He who gave me the gift of eternal life in His Presence. I now have everything I need in Jesus and I have come to trust that He truly is more than enough and always will be.
