Misfit For Jesus
Dear Father I’m in deep pain right now but thanks for strengthening me because without You I wouldn’t have been able to stand. All the pressure would have broken me completely. If not for You dear God I would be completely alone right now. Thank You for truly showing me that the only person I can trust in this life is You. Dear Lord I will trust that You’re ordering my steps and it is not my circumstances that dictate who You are. You are unchangeable. Dear Lord I’m amazed
Thank You Lord for your peace. Thank you for loving me, comforting me, answering my prayers. Thank You confirming it is open door season. Thank You for teaching me about triangulation today. My family is being manipulated still and they can’t see it unfortunately. Thank You Lord for the breaking of my family stronghold over me. Thank You for all the revelations You’ve shown to me during this time period. Darkness is a tiny, insecure, impotent man projecting he is this great mighty wizard of oz.
Lord the only person’s opinion of me I care about is You and myself. You tell me I’m chosen, lovely, precious, unique, forgiven, loved, highly esteemed and above all You call me Your own. A Child of the Most High God. Whose human opinion then should I be mindful of?! No one! Help me to cling to this truth dear Lord as I fix my gaze on You and heavenly places. In Jesus’s Holy name I pray Amen.
“The closer you walk with God, the more you will seem like a misfit to people who don’t know God.”
Noah didn’t fear people’s opinions; he feared God’s judgment.
How many know God so well and believe his Word so firmly that we keep proclaiming the same message even when people get angry at us, say we’re stupid or crazy, call us weird or ignore us completely?
But a true preacher of righteousness speaks the Word of God to sinners, whether they like it or not. Noah’s preaching didn’t please others, but it pleased God. Noah told people what God had told him. Noah embraced and acted upon God’s message of how to be saved. When the judgment came, Noah was ready.
Some religious experts said, “He…is raving mad. Why listen to him?“ (John 10:20). On at least one occasion, even Jesus’ own family said, “He is out of his mind“ (Mark 3:21). Jesus seemed crazier than Noah had seemed.
Jesus died to save all who trust Him, and he is coming again to judge the world.
Jesus Christ is the only ark of safety in this evil world.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
