Getting To Know Our Father
“If we develop a habit of abiding in the Word of God, we will know His heart. And when we know his Heart, we will recognize His voice.
In the quest for God’s voice, let the first stop be scripture. The more familiar we are with the heart of God, the more familiar we will be with His voice.
The people who love you…the people you trust and respect…what do they say? Have you asked them? Obviously, everyone should not be within your circle for wise counsel. Ask people who have made decisions that you respect, and who love you enough to want what is best for you. Allow their voices to enter the conversation and examine how their input is compatible with scripture and what you know to be true about the heart of God. The Lord frequently uses the voices of others to echo what He is speaking to our hearts.

I have always been so drawn to water..to the Ocean. I long to live near water, near the sea, spend time away from the bitter cold in the sun and barefoot in the sand.
The best things in life are truly free. Love truly doesn’t cost a dime, You are love dear God, a perfect love freely given to us through the sacrifice of Jesus, Your precious Son.. There is no greater love than this especially since You didn’t have to because You are the GREAT I AM, all powerful and Almighty, yet You chose to because of love.
God You speak to my heart. Take my heart O God and speak to it. Take my heart and consecrate it to Your service. I can only trust my heart when I have absolutely zero doubt that it’s in Your hands. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it” Jeremiah 17:9-10 I know it is but during those times when I falter please help remind me dear Lord that You got me.
Dear Lord, today and every day moving forward I have left in this sinful world and earthly body, I completely joyfully eagerly entrust my WHOLE MIND, HEART, AND SOUL TO YOU.
My God, My Love. In You alone I found rest for my Soul
Dear Lord please keep speaking to my heart in all the ways You best know how to and how You best know will help me discern Your voice.
Dear Jesus You told me that You entrusted me with my family and no one on this earth loves me more than my parents so I should listen to them keenly and try to align their words with Your Word. They too are not perfect but no one loves me more than them except You.
Knowing You & Believing in You are so drastically different. Thank You for the privilege of allowing me to Know You Lord. Thank You for revealing Yourself to me in Your three Deities. My limited human understanding can’t grasp the mightiness of this but I don’t need to understand Your ways because I can’t since I’m not glorified yet until the day I leave this world. Yet, the beautiful thing is I’m not Chosen and Called to understand but to trust, believe and obey DESPITE not understanding. You tell me to not rely on my own understanding so yes Lord I will do so and obey You by the enabling Power of Your Holy Spirit I pray in Jesus’s mighty name🙏🏾 Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
Jesus You are God incarnate, You became flesh so You could meet me where I was. Such level of humility is unfathomable to my sinful mind. Sin was so foreign to You and since You are a just God and You never waver from Your perfect pleasing character of LOVE and justice, You took my debt and paid the price of sin for me which is death. You took my place on that cursed tree and freed me from a live of eternal damnation! How could I ever repay You? I could never and You don’t require it because You did it willingly. You saw beyond me. You saw beyond the cross. My sins crucified You but You took them and nailed them to the cross once and for all breaking sin’s power over me. You conquered death now death is just a door way to Your be in Your loving arms forevermore. You changed my destiny and told me I was forever Yours. Hosanna in the Highest!!!
You formed me in my mother’s womb and since birth every thing has worked in my favor. Your grace has carried me all along. I was made just for a time such as this. A Chosen generation to proclaim Your mighty name Jesus and for the world to bow to Your name and glorify You. You love us so much but sin separated us from You but through You Jesus and You alone, I’ve been reconciled to Our heavenly Father. Through my faith in You alone by God’s grace am I Saved. The fact that I was Chosen and made known the depths and expansiveness of this Amazing Saving Grace of Yours God through Jesus Christ Your Son is the ultimate privilege. Thank You for sacrificing Yourself for me Jesus. I will follow Your gospel Jesus and believe every word and I trust that every scripture is Spirit-breath so You will never compromise on Your Word. Your Word is living, alive, active and true knowledge and understanding of it must come from the Holy Spirit indwelling in me. It is a book of revelation and Your Word, You Jesus, the Word becoming flesh is the only foundation to build my house on. All other ground is sinking sinking sand. You alone are my firm foundation. The Rock the builders rejected became the Cornerstone, my firm foundation, my anchor to the ground. My spirit roots will grow down deep into Your Word Jesus and remain steadfast. I prophecy this over my own life because it will come to pass because You are a promise keeper and I trust in Your mighty Power Holy Spirit. I have seen evidence of it so thank You for this beautiful gift that I stand in awe in every single day of my life.
Thank You for this knowledge of peace guarding my heart and mind to be in perfect peace with God through Jesus Christ.
If anyone doesn’t have faith (believe and trust) in Jesus then they can’t claim to know God because only through You Jesus can we behold the glory of God because You are in the Father and I are in You. In You is all the Power and Wisdom of God and I Will forever trust in Your name! You alone are the truth, the way and the life. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
You have always been there from creation Jesus. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 Ahhh this great mystery of God revealed and kept hidden from evil principalities of this world. You are God and You know the beginning from the end and in You there is no beginning or end. The Alpha and Omega. A God of mysteries far beyond my mind can’t comprehend. I long eagerly and will run my race in Your pace of Grace for my life, patiently enduring this temporary home solely to glorify Your name so others may praise and glorify Your name and find the ultimate rest for their burdened souls. Only You Lord Jesus will I praise here on earth and in heaven!
Who JESUS CHRIST HAS SET FREE IS FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE INDEED!!!!
I always said I was born to stand out; I never fit in because I belong to a heavenly kingdom. I loved passionately, genuinely, naively yet I was betrayed. All my life sufferings were only a fraction of what You suffered Jesus but I know You’ve always been with me because through You all things were created and You chose me and gave me a bleeding heart similar to Yours so that all Your wonderful works and gifts of the Holy Spirit may be made manifest in my life. I finally truly get it now. When I wasn’t getting it fully I was still dealing with pride even unbeknownst to me. But I prayed and kept asking like You tell me to; I prayed for You to keep humbling, refining and purifying me every day and second. I want to walk, speak, talk humility. Lord I long to be Your mouth, hands and feet on this earth.
No greater example of perfect humility than You being God dearest Jesus, wrapping Yourself in flesh, coming down to earth, allowing Yourself to experience all this temptation on earth without sin and suffering intensely to ransom me from death.
Thank You Lord Jesus. I thank and worship You from my spirit and my life because using words to praise and thank You just seem insignificant to what I want to express but I know You know my heart and I worship from my all heart, mind and soul. I worship You in spirit and in truth like You require.
I always had this nudging in my Spirit that I was created for something more and now I know. You filled the giant void in my heart. You satisfied my soul completely and now I lack nothing. “The Lord is my Shepherd, i lack nothing” Psalm 23:1
Thank You. I love You God, so so much.
Only a man that knows and loves You truly God can come close to loving me the way I deserve to be loved. And I can say the same about me. I know I will never be able to love him as perfectly as You love him or me Lord Jesus but at least I will trust and know that we will both be doing our very best to the best of our abilities by surrendering to Your mighty power at work in us and through us. I pray that we will let Your great love for us and in us flow to each other. Amen
Dear Saint, hearing from God is more of an art than a science. Hearing from Him must be valued and discerned. God speaks to us through His Word primarily. It is a lifelong lifestyle and walk. God is a living Person and not an inanimate force. He can be wooed and He can be grieved. He can be received and He can be shunned. He can be valued and he can be rejected. He looks at it all. You need to listen to Him before you pull-out in life. He is not hiding, His Word says seek and you will find, knock and it shall be opened, ask and it shall be given. Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
May our deepest desire be to make our heavenly Father smile.😄🙏🏾
